NEWS
The Texas A&M Aggies have been accepted into the Southeastern Conference, ending their time in the Big 12.
Texas A&M leaving the conference will likely lead to other teams leaving as well and its ultimate demise.
Texas and Oklahoma have already begun looking at their next move, possibly to the Pac-12.
All of this will cause even more dominos to fall and likely ultimately result in four, 16-team power conferences. (Read More…)

The Texas A&M Aggies have informed the Big 12 conference that they plan to leave the league.
Rumors had been circulating for weeks that the Aggies were thinking about leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.
If the Aggies do indeed leave the conference, it could spell the end of the Big 12 and cause a huge domino effect across college sports.
It was just a couple of years ago when it was expected that some conferences could disappear as teams left for other leagues, but it ultimately didn’t get that crazy. (Read More…)

The Texas A&M Aggies couldn’t make the plays in crunch time in a 57-50 loss to the Florida State Seminoles.
The Aggies got off to a sluggish start but then fought back to take a three-point lead by halftime.
It seemed like they had gained control of the game and had the momentum, but that changed in the second half.
The Aggies seemed to let down their defensive guard, and Florida State suddenly found some offense. (Read More…)

In its final regular-season game, the Texas A&M Aggies snapped a two-game winning streak Saturday with a 66-54 victory over Texas Tech.
The victory gives the Aggies some momentum heading into next week’s Big 12 tournament, and the No. 22-ranked Aggies can use a boost as they try to upend powerhouses Kansas and Texas in the conference tourney. (Read More…)

The Texas A&M Aggies became the latest victim at Phog Allen Fieldhouse in a 64-51 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks.
Texas A&M hoped that slowing down the tempo and getting after things on the defensive end would lead to victory.
They did do a nice job of frustrating Kansas and forcing them into bad shots in the first half, but the Jayhawks were just too much in the end.
David Loubeau lead the way with 14 points and six rebounds. (Read More…)

The host Texas A&M Aggies surrendered a late basket en route to a 76-74 overtime loss to the Baylor Bears.
Khris Middleton scored 18 points and also had nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals, but turned the ball over on a critical possession late in overtime.
Four players scored in double figures for the Aggies, but it still wasn’t even to keep Baylor at bay.
It was a stunning loss for Texas A&M, which has one of the toughest home court advantages in the country and almost never loses to an unranked opponent on their own floor. (Read More…)

The Texas A&M Aggies couldn’t keep up with the LSU Tigers in a 41-24 loss in the Cotton Bowl.
It was a typical Aggies loss, one that was marred by turnovers and a defense that couldn’t stop anyone.
Texas A&M’s defense allowed almost 450 yards of total offense to an LSU team that often struggles to score points.
The team also threw three interceptions and lost one fumble, which make LSU’s job a lot easier. (Read More…)

The Texas A&M Aggies pulled off their biggest win of the year, stunning the Oklahoma Sooners, 33-19.
The Aggies got off to a tremendous start by holding the Sooners explosive offense scoreless in the first half.
A big reason for Texas A&M’s success was the difference in the effectiveness of the running attacks.
The Aggies finished with over 150 yards on the ground while Oklahoma had just 72, including 85 from DeMarco Murray. (Read More…)

Up by 11 points early in the second half, the Texas A&M Aggies had a chance to take total control of their second-round NCAA Tournament game.
Instead, Purdue scored 14 of the next 16 points, setting in motion a series of events that at the end of overtime would send the Aggies home for the season.
Chris Kramer’s basket with 4.2 seconds left snapped a 61-61 tie, and B.J. Holmes’ 3-pointer missed as time expired, the Aggies falling 63-61 in the Midwest Regional in Spokane, Wash.
Texas A&M (24-10) led by seven points at halftime but went ice cold in the second half, en route to shooting just 35.4 percent from the field for the game. Bryan Davis led the Aggies with 17 points and 15 rebounds on 8-for-17 shooting. David Loubeau added 12 points, and Donald Sloan scored 11.
Holmes had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation as well, but misfired at the buzzer.
